Rev. Tom Bodkin is a native of Raleigh, NC, and grew up in Greenville, NC. He has served churches in North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. He came to Hayes Barton as Associate Pastor in October of 1999, following six and one-half years as pastor of the First Baptist Church, Biscoe, NC, and eighteen and one-half years as pastor of Rosemary Baptist Church, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Rev. Bodkin is a graduate of Greenville High School, Mars Hill College, Samford University, the NC Baptist Hospital School of Pastoral Care, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

His hobbies include golf, photography, travel, and music. He is married to the former Betty Stanford, of Kinston, who teaches piano at Hayes Barton Baptist Church, and in the home.

Rev. Bodkin’s focus at Hayes Barton is ministry with senior adults.
