Lots of Personal Attention! 
      At Hayes Barton Baptist we realize that infants and ones are in a stage where they need lots of love and attention.  It is our goal to give them as much personal attention as possible by having a ratio of one loving worker for every three children.  Children move into the one year old class as they become steady walkers.  
 
Our Dedicated Workers 
      During Sunday School every week your child will get to spend time with the same set of volunteers that have been certified according to our child protection policy.  These workers take great joy in loving your child week after week and watching them grow, change and develop into the young person God has created them to be.  

      During the worship hour, our youngest children participate in Extended Session.  Our Extended Session workers are certified volunteers who know the importance of making your child feel safe, comfortable and loved and will ensure that you never have reason to worry.  

      On Wednesday evenings and during other special church functions, paid workers are present to care for your children so you can attend the Bible studies and functions that are planned for you.  These workers have undergone background checks in order to ensure your child’s safety.  

What happens when you leave your child in our care?

• On your first visit, we ask that you fill out an information sheet so we can best care for your child and understand any special needs he/she may have.
• We ask that you label all diaper bags, bottles, cups etc. that are brought in with your child so all personal items can be easily identified.
• Because the security and safety of your child is as important to us as it is to you, you will be given a pager and a sticker number which corresponds to your child's tag when you drop them off in the infant room.  The pager must be returned and sticky tag shown to the nursery worker at the time of pick-up.
• One year olds are given a security tag and pagers are available for their parents.
